There is no question that two clubs that are famous for their strong youth teams meet. Salzburg have already won the competition once – against Benfica. The Portuguese are in the finals for the fourth time – and they have never won one. Most recently, the notorious Guttmann curse came true in August 2020. They lost 2: 3 to Real Madrid.
Salzburg is not cursed, but the final will not be a sure-fire success. The self-confidence gained against Atletico (5:0!) can definitely be used! See you soon!
