Liverpool go into the break with a narrow but well-deserved lead. The home team started like the fire brigade. Leicester got no rest in at all. The Reds were always on their opponents’ feet. That changed after eight minutes when Leicester suddenly had a great chance after a counterattack. After that, the game flattened out. Liverpool struggled in attack. The Foxes were waiting for a counterattack. A corner was then the can opener and led to 1:0. After that, the LFC was the clearly better team and pressed on the 2:0. If the first half had been five minutes longer, the second goal would almost certainly have been scored.
