In only their third Premier League season, things have gone pretty well for Brentford FC so far. After a bumpy start with just one win from the first five games, head coach Thomas Frank’s team has recently stabilized. The Bees travel to Anfield with a three-game winning streak behind them. First they won against Burnley FC 3-0, the struggling Chelsea FC 2-0 and most recently there was a 3-2 win against West Ham United. With 16 points, the Londoners are in ninth place in the middle of the table.

Liverpool FC have only won two of their last five league games. Two games ended in a draw and one was lost. A look at the last two games in particular should worry head coach Jürgen Klopp. Last Sunday the Reds were on the verge of an embarrassment against newly promoted Luton Town. It wasn’t until the fifth minute of injury time that substitute Luis Diaz scored the equalizer. The dress rehearsal before today’s game also failed. During the week, Liverpool lost 3-2 against FC Toulouse in the Europa League with a B team. Nevertheless, the Reds are top of their group. LFC is still doing well in the league table. With 24 points, Liverpool is currently in fourth place.
