Live ticker Iserlohn Roosters – Kölner Haie (DEL 2023/2024, 5th matchday)

10.

19:52

With the band full, the Sharks immediately take the initiative again. Andreas Thuresson is looking for closure and finds his master in Kevin Reich.

9.

19:51

Then the Sauerlanders quickly attack again. Tyler Boland fires from the right faceoff circle. Tobias Ančička defends with his catching hand. Moritz Müller’s punishment expires immediately afterwards.

8th.

7:50 p.m

Marcel Barinka looks for the one-two with Drew LeBlanc and approaches the opponent’s goal. There is no gap in his conclusion either. Shortly afterwards, Mitch Eliot shoots. Tobias Ančička keeps an overview and ultimately fixes the disc.

8th.

7:49 p.m

The Roosters quickly get into the power play lineup. Now the home team is finally getting some flow. A first shot attempt from the left face-off circle does not get through.

7.

19:46

Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Moritz Müller (Kölner Haie)

Because of a hit with the stick, Moritz Müller received Cologne’s first penalty in this game.

6.

19:46

Iserlohn tries to find an answer. Sven Ziegler plays the disc deep and follows it up. But Tobias Ančička immediately takes the pressure off and grabs the target at the expense of a face-off.

5.

7:39 p.m

Justin Schuetz

Goal for the Kölner Haie, 0-1 by Justin Schütz

In the majority, the guests win the face-off with Alexandre Grenier. Moritz Müller shoots from the right faceoff circle. Justin Schütz has positioned himself directly in front of Kevin Reich, holds the racket in and deflects it profitably. The referees go to the video evidence to check whether the scorer has his stick too high. We look for a long time and then the hit is confirmed. Twelve seconds of power play were enough.

5.

7:38 p.m

Emil Quaas

Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Emil Quaas (Iserlohn Roosters)

Andreas Thuresson moves towards the goal from the right side, is unfairly stopped by Emil Quaas and then rattles into Kevin Reich. This is the first penalty against the Iserlohn defender – for a stick check. And his goalie then gets up again and can continue.

4.

7:38 p.m

Via Gregor MacLeod the disc reaches Alexandre Grenier, who also moves into the attacking zone on the half-right. The attempted shot doesn’t go through, there’s a stick between them.

3.

7:36 p.m

Now the guests set the first offensive accent. Robin van Calster takes a wrist shot at the right faceoff circle. Kevin Reich will definitely fish this one out.

2.

7:35 p.m

Maximilian Kammerer loses the puck to Sven Ziegler on his own blue line. As a result, Florian Elias indicates that he wants to drive behind the goal, but then pulls in front of the box from the right. However, there is no way through there.

19:28

The referees Andris Ansons and André Schrader are supposed to ensure order on the ice. Linesperson Tom Giesen and Denis Menz help the two of them.

19:22

Starting between the posts today are Kevin Reich on the Iserlohn side and Tobias Ančička on the Cologne side. Greg Poss has to do without Hubert Labrie and Balázs Sebők. Mark Olver and Nick Aichinger are still missing from the guests.

19:12

Cologne started with two home wins against Nuremberg (5:1) and Ingolstadt (4:1), and then also won in Munich (5:2). On Sunday the Rhenish derby against Düsseldorf took place in the Lanxass Arena. And the DEG gave the KEC its first defeat of the season – but only after a penalty shootout (3:4). The Haie have scored points in all of their games so far.

19:02

Initially, Iserlohn had a good start to the new season. At the start, the Sauerlanders won 3-2 in Frankfurt. However, this good early form did not last. At the home opener they lost 7-2 to Schwenningen at Seilersee. In Mannheim they lost 2:4. Last Sunday there was a 2:3 at home after a penalty shootout against Ingolstadt, which meant at least the first home point.

18:52

Yesterday the Haie were dethroned as league leaders by Mannheim, but could immediately regain their place in the sun with a win today. To do this, the person currently in second place has to pass the twelfth. That could be a solvable task, because with 16 goals conceded, the Roosters are the league’s shooting gallery. However, only four complete match days have been completed.

18:42

Welcome to the German Ice Hockey League! Matchday 5 has been running since yesterday and we are continuing it today with the game between the Iserlohn Roosters and the Kölner Haien. The first puck is scheduled to hit the ice at 7:30 p.m.
