Around 20,000 spectators are expected in the Schauinsland Reisen Arena today, which underlines the boom and the interest after the successful European Championships last year. The fans can look forward to an open exchange of blows, as both teams see this game as an early endurance test in preparation for the World Cup next summer. The German team spent a few days in Marbella preparing for this first friendly game of the year. Only Lohmann left injured at the beginning of the week – otherwise MVT can fall back on their nominated squad and, with Frohms, Hendrich, Hegering, Rauch, Popp and Huth, called six players from VfL Wolfsburg into the starting XI. Kleinherne completes the back four and Nüsken and Däbritz are used in midfield. On the offensive, the already mentioned Popp and Huth get support from the Munich players Magull and Bühl.
