Galatasaray and Bayern go into the break 1-1. The first half was very one-sided. Istanbul was clearly the superior team. The Munich team couldn’t match the home team’s aggressive style of play at all. Gala ran high and kept winning balls. Nevertheless, Bayern took the lead with their first chance. But that goal didn’t change the game at all. Galatasaray continued to be very dangerous. The Turks had countless chances. Icardi’s 1-1 penalty was overdue after 30 minutes. Istanbul should have been leading 2-1 or 3-1 by half time. Bayern didn’t see a trick here in the first half.
