In Oldenburg, memories of 2015 will certainly be evoked today, when – also in their own arena – they beat Bamberg and won the cup. After losing the 2020 cup final, the Baskets are fighting for the trophy for the third time today. For Bayern it is the sixth appearance in the final of the BBL Cup, the title went to Munich in 1968, 2018 and 2021. Coach Andrea Trinchieri should also remember 2015, albeit differently than the Oldenburg team: he was the Bamberg coach at the time.
