Russian foreign minister Lavrov also meets North Korean leader Kim Jong-un after colleague
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergej Lavov had a meeting on Saturday with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported this. Lavrov is on a state visit. Earlier on Saturday, Lavrov also had a meeting with his North Korean colleague Choe Son-Hui.
The Russian minister was asked whether North Korean troops can be deployed in other regions in other regions in the war with Ukraine in addition to the liberated Russian border region Koersk. According to the Russian status agency Tass, he replied that this is a decision that comes to North Korea itself. “The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea decides in which form we implement our strategic partnership,” it sounded.
Earlier, Lavrov Noord-Korea had already thanked the “heroic” efforts of the soldiers in expeling Ukrainian troops from Koersk.
