Israel shoots Palestinian dead in West Bank for throwing explosive at soldiers

Israel says it has shot dead a Palestinian who allegedly threw an explosive at Israeli soldiers in the West Bank. The soldiers were reportedly attacked during a raid north of Nablus, a central city in the West Bank. According to the force, the soldiers, reservists of the Samaritan Regional Brigade, were not injured by the projectile.
On Tuesday, several Palestinians were injured in attacks and destruction by Israeli settlers near Tulkarem. The masked Israelis are said to have set fire to dairy trucks, fields and some buildings, among other things. They also threw stones at Palestinians and hit them with sticks. Four Israelis were then arrested.

Since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, at least a thousand Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
