Mads Pedersen won the first stage in the Giro d’Italia on Saturday and defends his pink sweater in and around Tirana on Sunday in the time trial (13.7 kilometers). The Dane is certainly not a bad time rider, but in particular Wout van Aert (at 6 seconds behind) also thinks of the pink. Joshua Tarling is the top favorite for the stage victory, but the Brit already lost a lot of time on Saturday and has no chance for pink. At 13.25 the first rider of the starting stage leaves with the German Niklas Märkl.
