Feyenoord starts for the third game in a row with the same eleven players. In the home match against SC Cambuur, trainer Arne Slot will stick to the team that laid the foundation for the victories over Sparta Rotterdam (4-0) and RKC Waalwijk (0-2) in recent weeks. The attackers Cyriel Dessers and Reiss Nelson are missing from the Rotterdam selection due to injuries.

Willem II – Ajax 0-1

Leader Ajax already came into action on Saturday, because of the Champions League match with Benfica that is on the program. Trainer Erik ten Hag did not yet take into account the away match against Benfica in the eighth finals of the Champions League next Wednesday. He did not allow any players to rest, Ajax started with the same players as last Sunday against FC Twente. Despite this, the Amsterdammers struggled for a long time in Tilburg. Only ten minutes before the end defender Jurriën Timber found a hole in the Tilburg defence: 0-1.

AZ – Heracles Almelo 2-1

AZ increased the pressure on number 3 Feyenoord by beating Heracles Almelo 2-1 at home. Tijjani Reijnders and Vangelis Pavlidis provided the Alkmaar goals, Nikolai Laursen equalized in between with an excellent header.

NEC – RKC Waalwijk 1-1

The kick-off of Saturday was in Nijmegen, where NEC and RKC Waalwijk were both able to add a point: 1-1. Jonathan Okita canceled Richard van der Venne’s opening goal shortly before the end.

PEC Zwolle – FC Groningen

The football Sunday was kicked off with the duel between PEC and Groningen. Hekkensluiter PEC Zwolle is still unbeaten in the Eredivisie this calendar year. At home, the team of trainer Dick Schreuder played a draw against FC Groningen (1-1) thanks to a late goal by defender Yuta Nakayama.

PSV – SC Heerenveen

SC Heerenveen is often seen as a fear gegner of PSV in Friesland and it also regularly achieves a result in Eindhoven. That is invariably a draw, because the last win in the Philips Stadium dates from 2009. Such a result is not obvious at the moment. The Frisians are currently errant in the Eredivisie. The last goal in the Eredivisie is now from two months ago, when Henk Veerman won the Frisian derby against Cambuur. PSV is in much better shape, although the midweek win against Maccabi Tel Aviv was not very convincing.
