Total chaos in Ecuador: masked criminals have armed themselves with a TV studio in Guayaquil. A hospital, a university and two shopping centers were also stormed. Detainees also hold prison guards hostage, some of whom are said to have been executed. The country is in a state of emergency because one of the most violent drug criminals has disappeared.
