Live blog: second division in full swing and can FC Volendam go into the winter break with a good feeling?

Welcome to our live blog! We will keep you informed of all regional top sports in North Holland. Tonight at 9 p.m. FC Volendam will play against SC Heerenveen in the Abe Lenstra Stadium. Furthermore, attention is paid to the other sports in our province. Tips? Send an email to [email protected].

In the second division, AFC took the three points against FC Lisse. The Amsterdam team won 0-1 in the Bollenstreek thanks to Cody Claver’s winning goal halfway through the first half. AFC now has 24 points from 17 games and remains in the lead of the sub-top.

In the last match before the winter break, FC Volendam has to do without Benaissa Benamar. The central defender suffered a head injury against Feyenoord (3-1 loss). Calvin Twigt is still a question mark for the match against SC Heerenveen. Robert Mühren was missing from training on Thursday because he was suffering from his soles, but he will most likely be there.

The match between SC Heerenveen and FC Volendam starts tonight at 9 p.m. in the Abe Lenstra Stadium.

National coach Per Johansson has called up Kim Molenaar for the last match at the Handball World Cup. The 21-year-old from Amsterdam, who plays for the Danish club København Håndbold, will join the team tonight. Molenaar replaces the injured Estavana Polman.

Tomorrow at 1 p.m. the handball players will close the World Cup against Germany. The stakes are fifth place. To get a good starting position for the Olympic qualifying tournament (OKT), a win is necessary.

AFC started the away match against FC Lisse at 2.30 pm. ADO ’20 started the away match against Quick Boys at 3 p.m. and Koninklijke HFC started the match against Jong Almere City FC at 3.30 p.m.

  • FC Lisse – AFC (2.30 pm)
  • Quick Boys – Royal HFC (3 p.m.)
  • Jong Almere City FC – Royal HFC (3.30 pm)

The calendar year is coming to an end and so FC Volendam will play in the Premier League for the last time tonight. Kick-off against SC Heerenveen is at 9 p.m. Furthermore, attention is paid to football in the second division, National Tennis Championships and many more sports.
