The polling stations in the Netherlands have just closed. You could cast a vote for the House of Representatives elections until 9 p.m. The counting of votes has now started.
The first results often arrive half an hour after the polling stations close, although this does not apply to Drenthe municipalities. Schiermonnikoog, Vlieland and Rozendaal in Gelderland usually compete with each other to see who can finish counting first. Schiermonnikoog has been the fastest in the last few elections.
