The AEX has been opened slightly lower, partly due to the announcement of President Trump that the import rates on Canadian goods will rise to 35 percent on 1 August, with possibly further increases in countermeasures. Investors are waiting for a new letter from Trump in which he is expected to announce rates for the EU.
