Football superstar Lionel Messi chose his most extraordinary goal as part of the “A goal in Life “‘s charity campaign.
“I scored a lot of goals that might be even more beautiful and valuable-also because of their meaning-but the header in the Champions League final against Manchester United was always my favorite gate,” said the Argentine.
On May 27, 2009, Messi had hit the Red Devils 2-0 final score – and lost his shoe. Back then, Barca was allowed to celebrate the triple.
16 years later, the artist Refik Anadol, who works with artificial intelligence and data, is to transform this goal into a work of art with the help of millions of data points. It is then auctioned for the Inter Miami CF Foundation.
“By integrating biosensors and advanced AI systems that were trained with data from this unique event, we open up a new dimension of AI art-one in which data becomes emotions and memories,” said Anadol.
The proceeds should benefit several non -profit organizations.
