Lindemann in the KitKatClub – Kinky Beats instead of “Row Zero”

Those responsible from local politics and administration will have breathed a sigh of relief. Concert organizer MCT is allowed to say goodbye to the summer holidays with a glass of bubbly: Despite excitement and demands for a ban, despite a possible attempt at sabotage: everything is in good shape. Three times Rammstein in the Berlin Olympic Stadium is through.

Commercially highly successful, also in terms of customer frequency at the stands for beer, soda and merch. The disruptive actions of various activists have not affected these lavish deals.

Meanwhile, the local press has gone on an investigative after-show stalk.

There are reports, for example, of a Rammstein party on Alexanderplatz, where the band didn’t go, but the mood was supposed to have been nice.

In particular, the international disciples who have come have shown themselves in various statements to be completely unimpressed by the scandal scenario surrounding their new German hardship heroes. Tenor: As long as nothing is officially proven, we stand by Tiill, Flake and their comrades. The caravan happily moves on.

A nightly visit by frontman Till Lindemann to the local “KitKatClub” also caused a murmur.

In the third decade of its existence, the erotic disco, which has meanwhile grown into a conglomerate of events (from theater to performance shows), stands up for metropolitan wickedness and crossing borders on the dance floor in Beate Uhse lingerie. The club itself presents itself as a subcultural institution on its own website: “The freedom-giving history, idea, rules and philosophy of the club…” it says in an official tone.

In any case, the “Tagesspiegel” and “Berliner Zeitung” report in unison that Lindemann, equipped with a “bag”, visited the said kinky disco and that without having been subjected to the usual bag check by the bouncers.

The DJ women there then rated the Lindemann flying visit on their social media channels as an affront and self-satisfied mockery of the abuse victims. Instead of keeping his feet still, the accused cavorted in the red-light underground milieu.

Whereupon the “KitKat” operators feel compelled to make a statement. After all, calls for a boycott are now buzzing through the Berlin nights here too.

“Till Lindemann has visited us from time to time in recent years,” says the “Berliner Zeitung” about the accusation that Lindemann’s bag had not been checked. Lindemann is known to the security from previous visits. A related email is quoted as saying: “Nothing ever happened at the club that was questionable. His daughter was often there too.”

On Saturday (July 22nd) the next “chapitre scandale” will be opened in the Rammstein long-term saga with the performance in Paris.
