Linda Lampenius is making a comeback in the beverage business – This is what it looks like

Linda Lampenius tells Iltalehti how her new drink differs from the famous Linda cider.

A violinist Linda Lampenius, 53, returns to the beverage business. Lampenius confirms the information to Iltalehti.

The artist says that he has received many messages about whether his previous product, Linda cider, could make a comeback. The famous Linda cider became a big phenomenon in its time. The product is especially remembered for its label, where Lampenius posed crouching in a leather outfit.

Despite the high demand, he decided to return to the beverage business with something other than cider. His new product is LIX – Naked, which is a bubbly cava.

The artist himself has participated in the design of the flavor world and label of the sparkling wine with his manager and the import company. Sparkling wine has an extra dry taste. It was important to the violinist that the product is completely organic.

The bottle’s label is black in color, and its image imitates the skin of a crocodile. Product descriptions are written in golden color.

The label does not feature Lampenius’ iconic crouching image – or any other image of him.

– There will be no squatting, but there will be naked. You can think about it in many ways: surely someone can think in a small huppel that who is physically naked in it, says the violinist with a twinkle in the corner of his eye.

– In reality, the idea behind it is that in my book I have been vulnerable and revealed my innermost being and soul – who I really am, he emphasizes.

The story continues after the pictures.

The artist explains why he didn’t want to recreate the iconic squat image of Linda cider.

– That picture was really funny back then. Now I made the label into something that I think is stylish. I was so young then, but now I’m 53: I have to have a product that I would drink myself. If I drink something these days, I usually don’t drink anything but bubbly, he states.

The artist once made millions of marks from the sale of Linda cider. According to Lampenius, the product was sold around 3.5 million bottles per year. The drink was on sale in 1997-2000.

Despite the successful history of Linda cider, the violinist has modest goals for his new product.

– Well, that doesn’t happen any more these days. However, I hope that the drink would be seen, for example, at company events. It would also be great if there was Naked at a wedding or engagement party – it’s kind of like a love potion when it goes on sale on Valentine’s Day, he concludes.
