This week it is the cover news of the Weekend: Linda de Mol who takes refugees into her home. A paparazzo from the magazine happened to be standing just outside Linda’s gate as she opened her palace doors to the Ukrainians in need. Is it coincidence or not? The fact is that editor-in-chief Bart Ettekoven is on Talpa’s payroll as a Shownieuws expert.

Five refugees

Shownieuws viewers wonder whether it might be a charm offensive. Linda’s otherwise not at all loose-lipped manager, Xenia Kasper, eagerly confirms the news. “Linda has taken in a total of five people. A mother who has fled with her three young children. A 15-year-old son, an 8-year-old daughter and another baby.”

But that’s not all, says Xenia. “The woman’s mother also came to the Netherlands. They really live in Linda’s house, so not in a garden house or something like that.”

Skeptical

Liesbeth thinks Linda is very proud of this, she writes on the infamous Facebook page from Show news. “If you’re modest, you just do it without putting it on the big screen, I mean everyone.”

Debby then says: “Exactly that. It’s a very nice gesture, but why give it such fame?”

Marijke says: “Everything for the stage, dear Linda.”

Esther is a little concerned about the refugees. “As long as her husband isn’t home…”

positivity

There is also positivity in the comments. “What a sour remarks here from some people ️ good that she does that!”, Diana says, for example.

Renate: “I think that’s super sweet of Linda. She herself is also having a difficult time.”

And Harry: “What a pity, all those sour reactions! Respect for Linda for taking that family home despite her own troubles! For the publicity? Don’t make me laugh, she really doesn’t need that! Linda is just a good, kind and social person! Bravo! “

Under fire

Linda has been under fire for quite some time because she has concealed the alleged misconduct of Ali B for over a year and a half within Talpa and she has not been thanked for that.

Fidan Ekiz jumped this week in the talk show of Linda’s nephew Johnny de Mol in the breach for the former TV queen. “If you look back with the emotions of now – then that BOOS episode had just been – you also think: that woman has been dragged through the mire in such a way. So hung from the highest tree. What has she done?”
