‘Linda de Mol, only interview at Shownieuws? Nice and easy!’

Linda de Mol has given a ‘spontaneous’ interview on camera for the first time since the Voice scandal. Who was the interviewer? Her brother’s show section. “Nice and safe.”

It is not easy for Linda de Mol either: she has all kinds of things to plug in, but does not want to speak to critical media. That is why she visited her brother’s show section, Shownieuws, during a PR moment for her charity: Shownieuws. RTL Boulevard, which has a much larger reach, was not invited.

“Nice and safe, Lin!”

The reason that Boulevard was not welcome is obvious: that program is not currently part of the De Mol family, so a critical question about Linda’s role in the Voice scandal could just roll out. Because that Linda still has to account for this is beyond dispute, according to Boulevard presenter Luuk Ikink.

Luuk gave Linda a stab under water live in his program yesterday about her easy choice to only speak to Shownieuws. “It is of course a very safe place to say your word about that foundation. A good foundation of course, but it’s not what we’re all waiting for, of course, is it?”

Negative year

TV expert Rob Goossens: “No, we hope she will say something more about how she really experienced the year.”

Luuk: “But if you watch the entire film, you think: she can do something positive with the year in this way, which she experienced as so annoying.”

Linda complains in the interview with Shownieuws that she thinks 2022 is such a negative year and that everyone is so bad. Rob: “Yes, but look… Has it really been such a negative year? We have raised a mega amount for Ukraine, while here we are also just worried about the energy bill and we have opened our house to Ukrainians.”

disaster year

Colleague Eddy Zoëy: “No, but for her personally it was of course a disaster year.”

Rob: “Yes, but then you have to say: ‘I personally found it annoying that people were negative about me’, but by making it bigger… I don’t know.”

Incidentally, Rob predicts in the podcast of Boulevard that Linda’s series Five Live will not get a sequel: “I don’t think so. It’s a really painful exercise for everyone involved because it’s just bad every week and gets bad reviews too.”

candid

On to Shownieuws: presenter Dyantha Brooks called Linda’s safe conversation with their reporter ‘candid’ last night. Hilarious. She swallowed it herself right away: “It’s quite a candid Linda de Mol. Well, frankly… She’s letting go of something about her experience this year.”

Colleague Bart Ettekoven: “Yes, they were asked up front: ‘Don’t start to see her through her private life and the problems and difficulties that have arisen in recent months.’”

Show news that asks the boss’s sister a critical question, let alone cut through it? Well, Linda really didn’t have to worry about that.

Shame

Anyway, a critical question for Línda? Reprehensible! At least, that’s what Dyantha thinks. “That’s also such a shame if you see what they are doing today (a charity thing, ed.), and then immediately start talking about her private life.”

Patty Brard loves that Linda sends gift packs to people who need it so much. “What I think is amazing is that she really does it!”

What a slut… Oh wait Patty says it herself: “We will come out like the slimers now, but I have a super deep respect that she actually does something for people who are having a hard time.”

Wow, very sweet of Linda. Does Patty also remember that Linda put all employees with a temporary contract on the street at the beginning of the corona crisis? And plead for solidarity on television…
