Lil Uzi Vert will release another record if his PINK TAPE makes it to number one on the charts.
Just a week after the release of PINK TAPE, Lil Uzi Vert promises another album. The condition for this is that the fans take his record PINK TAPE to number one in the US charts.
After Lil Uzi Vert previously announced that he would simply release another LP instead of a deluxe version of PINK TAPE, the rap artist seems to want to make his promise more concrete. Because now Lil Uzi Vert announced a new record including album cover via Instagram story. The caption for it:
“Take it to number one and I’ll release the album you’ve all been waiting for.”
As a further indication of the direction the new work could go, Lil Uzi Vert writes in the Instagram bio “Luv is rage 3”. The artist is thus indicating that this could be a successor to the album LUV IS RAGE 2 released in 2017. It peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 135,000 units sold and was certified twice platinum.
LUV IS RAGE 2 was followed by ETERNAL ATAKE three years later and then PINK TAPE this year. Initial projections suggest that PINK TAPE will hit between 220,000 and 250,000 US album equivalents in its first week. The record also has the potential to reach number one on the US charts and become the first hip-hop album to reach that spot on the Billboard 200 in 2023.
