LIFE STORY. Belpop legend Lou Deprijck: “As a musician he fluttered from one genre to another. He did the same with his partners”

Belpop legend Lou Deprijck has died at the age of 77. He was a musical chameleon who scored world hits in the 70s and 80s with punk (‘Ça Plane Pour Moi’), reggae (‘Kingston Kingston’) and samba (‘Charlie Brown’). He would soon marry his girlfriend, 51 years his junior, in Las Vegas. “C’est ma vie qui est rock ‘n roll, pas ma musique”, he also acknowledged.
