Lewis Capaldi cancels all his gigs before Glastonbury

Lewis Capaldi says he needs time with loved ones to be at his best at Glastonbury.

Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi is canceling all his upcoming gigs before Glastonbury festival. Capaldi says in a statement that he needs time to rest and recover in order to perform.

Capaldi says that he is struggling to get his mental and physical well-being under control, which is why he hasn’t felt at his best in recent months.

– During these three weeks I have to focus on being Lewis from Glasgow for a while, spending time with my family and friends and doing normal things that are an important part of my well-being, Capaldi says in his statement.

Among other things Someone You Loved – and Before You Go Capaldi, known for his hits, has previously spoken openly about his health concerns. Last year, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome, which causes tics, rapid and involuntary movements or vocalizations.

– I wanted to talk about it because I didn’t want people to think I was using cocaine or something, Capaldi joked at the time.

Last spring, Capaldi said for The Times that he considered ending his music career because of the symptoms.

– I don’t like to exaggerate, but there is a possibility that I will have to stop performing music, he said in an interview.

Capaldi was scheduled to perform in Glasgow, Leeds, Dublin, London and Trondheim before the Glastonbury festival around Midsummer.
