Lewandowski scores in next Barça win – unbeaten in 14 games

Last bankruptcy against Bayern

FC Barcelona has increased the pressure on Real Madrid in the championship fight of the Spanish LaLiga – also thanks to a goal by world footballer and ex-Munich Robert Lewandowski (to the table). The Catalans won 2-1 (0-0) away at Betis Sevilla on Wednesday evening. The Brazilian Raphinha (65th minute) and Lewandowski (80th) scored the goals for the guests. An own goal by Barça’s Jules Koundé (85′) made the game exciting again in the final minutes.

Barcelona have now been unbeaten in 14 competitive games. The club’s last defeat so far came in a 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on October 26 last year. With the win against Betis Sevilla, the lead over pursuers Real Madrid is eight points. The royals around ex-national player Toni Kroos will play against FC Valencia on Thursday evening (from 9 p.m. in the TM live ticker).
