Leverkusen beat Wolfsburg 2–0 on Sunday evening and extended the gap to Bayern Munich to ten points again.

Lukas Hradecky captained by Leverkusen, the league balance is strong: 21 wins, four draws, zero losses.

There are still nine rounds of the Bundesliga to be played. Four home and five away games await Leverkusen.

Leverkusen will no longer face Bayern Munich, but they will face the third-placed Stuttgart of the moment and second-placed Dortmund. The other opponents are SC Freiburg, 1899 Hoffenheim, Union Berlin, Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bochum and Augsburg.

– We focus on our playing. That’s the simplest and most important thing, head coach Xabi Alonso commented on his club’s X account after Sunday’s winning match.

– The second part of the Europa League is on Thursday (Qarabag), and on Sunday we go to Freiburg. Our thoughts are on those matches.

Leverkusen’s championship fight may be strained by the spring match rush. In addition to the Europa League, the team is also still participating in the German Cup.

Leverkusen have never won the Bundesliga. There are five second places: 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2011.
