Leverkusen apparently is looking for a successor for Jonathan Tah. The focus should be on a Bochumer.

Bundesliga champion Bayer Leverkusen is said to have a firm eye on defense lawyer Tim Oermann from VfL Bochum. This reports Sky. According to the broadcaster, the club wants to bring the transfer to the roof and compartment promptly. An “oral agreement” between Leverkusen and the player should already see.

In the room there is a transfer fee of three to four million euros. Negotiations between the clubs have not yet started.

At Bayer Leverkusen, Oermann could close a gap in perspective: Defense chief Jonathan Tah will leave the club free of charge in summer. If Leverkusen agreed with Bochum, the U21 international would be an anticipation of the departure. Further changes in the defensive area are not excluded from Werkelf in summer.

But Leverkusen is probably not the only prospect. Werder Bremen and Mainz 05 also observe the situation around the Bochum defender, according to Sky. Both clubs could come to the train if the move to the Werkself fails.

So far, it seems unclear whether Oermann would be part of the Leverkusen squad after a possible change or would initially be awarded for another year. A decision about this should only be made after the U21 European Championship in June. The European Championship takes place in Slovakia. Oermann is said to play there for the German selection.

The 21-year-old is one of VfL Bochum’s regulars in the current Bundesliga season. So far it has been on 25 missions. In addition to central defense, Oermann can also be used on the right defense. His clear goal for the end of the season is to keep relegation with his home club Bochum.
