Despite double outnumber: Frankfurt beats Leverkusen

Leverkusen started the duel confidently and led two goals for a long time. Then suddenly everything went against the “Werkelf” – and Frankfurt made it exciting again.
The Bundesliga comeback from coach Kasper Hjulmand has been successful. Bayer Leverkusen defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 (2-0) on Friday evening. The “Werkelf” acted outnumbered from the 59th minute, since captain Robert Andrich was referred to the yellow-red of the square. Shortly before the end, Ezequiel Fernández also saw his second warning, Leverkusen ended the game too ninth.
A free kick by Álex Grimaldo and the back of Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer brought Bayer in the lead (10th minute). Patrik Schick increased from the point before half -time (45. +4). It was the first victory for Bayer 04 on the third Bundesliga matchday. The runner -up had separated from Coach Erik Ten HAG after only two months. Under his successor Hjulmand, the team, which was significantly changed in an XXL break, immediately had more stable, more determined and showed enormous resistance.
