Swiss politicians Tamara Funiciello, 34, and Anna Rosenwasser35, have caused a special uproar in their home country, Blick magazine news.
The duo, presenting themselves as feminists, spoke in front of the audience about the women’s European football championships, which will be held in Switzerland next summer. They had a confusing view of the tournament.
– I love talking about the European Championships because everyone imagines that I am interested in football. “I really just like watching lesbians who play sports,” Rosenwasser said.
Funiciello was on the same lines. He said he bought 35 tickets right from the advance sale.
– I won’t do anything for a month other than watch lesbians playing football, he announced.
The comments made both women burst into laughter. The audience also cheered along.
According to Blick’s information, the statements were received in football circles with mixed feelings. Politicians spread the false notion that all female soccer players were lesbians and that they were only looked at because of their looks.
Both Funciello and Rosenwasser belong to the Swiss National Council. They are members of the Swiss Social Democratic Party.
