Legendary Schumacher-Ferrari under the hammer

In August, another Formula 1 car by Michael Schumacher will go under the hammer. At the Monterey Car Week in California from August 18th to 20th, the well-known auction house Sothebys is auctioning off a Ferrari F300 from the 1998 Formula 1 season.

Specifically, this is chassis number 187, with which Schumacher won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal for the first time. Schumacher then also won the races in Magny-Cours and Silverstone in this car.

A few weeks later, Schumacher also won Ferrari’s home race in Monza with the chassis 187. The Ferrari chassis was then preserved in its original condition after the race.

In September 1999 the chassis was then sold to the current owner, who kept it in his private collection in an unchanged condition for over 23 years. In August 2022, the car will be shown to the public again for the first time at the auction in the USA.

If you want to secure this Formula 1 Ferrari from Schumacher, however, you must have a well-filled account. The auction house expects a selling price of between six and eight million euros.
