In the spa, if anywhere, it is worth using a new source of power.

Max Verstappen will have to face overtaking maneuvers on Sunday. PDO

The F1 teams have chosen the Spa-Francorchamps track as the perfect place to introduce new power sources and grid penalties to the cars.

The fourth power sources of the season will be used by, among others, the top two of the World Series Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. During the season, only three engine components are available for the driver to freely use, the introduction of additional parts results in passing down the starting grid.

Since it is easy to overtake on the Spa track, Red Bull and Ferrari tacticized a new source of power for their drivers at this stage. There are still nine seasons left in the season.

In addition to Verstappen and Leclerc, with the new motos, the starting grid penalties will also be received Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas and Mick Schumacher.

Bottas’ weekend got off to a dark start when the bottom of the Finnish car was damaged due to too little ground clearance. The bottom plate was badly scratched in Eau Rouge, and the mechanics had to do maintenance work in the pit.
