From Miccoli to Camarda, passing through Vucinic, Chevanton, Vlahovic and the others: the Lecce sporting director has made his home a sort of open-air, goal-themed museum
Fabrizio Miccoli in 1996, Camarda and Stulic in 2025. Almost thirty years of center forwards, all in the same… house. On December 12th Pantaleo Corvino turned 76 and, to celebrate, he decided to give himself a special gift. The talent scout has in fact revolutionized his home in Vernole, in the province of Lecce, by having the walls of the entire facade painted: two portraits of the sporting director indicate the silhouettes of the center forwards he bought during his career, starting from Casarano and then moving on to Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna.
THE MURAL
—
Always passionate about paintings and sculptures, the Lecce sporting director this time has opted for a work that cannot go unnoticed. Onlookers and fans have already begun to stop in front of the director’s house, playing to recognize the faces of those who wrote the history of their favorite teams. Corvino’s mantra (depicted in front of the Lecce and Fiorentina matches) has been known for some time: “A sporting director can make a mistake as a wife, but not as a centre-forward”. And it is therefore no surprise that, to represent the three decades of his professional career, he decided to dedicate a space to all his number 9s.
all faces

Much of the facade is, obviously, yellow and red in colour. At the top left you can see the faces of Chevanton, Pellé and Vucinic, further down those of Lucarelli, Bojinov and the more recent Coda, Krstovic, Stulic and Camarda. In the “purple zone” there is space for Amauri, Toni, Babacar, Chiesa, Osvaldo, Vlahovic, Jovetic, Ljajic and Mutu, while in the rossoblù corner, dedicated to Casarano in Bologna, there are Destro and Miccoli, the first talent launched by Corvino, who made him debut in Serie C at just 16 years old. Thirty years have passed, and Corvino has collected them all on the front of the house.
