The French leather goods house Polène opens its first boutique in Germany. The more than 300 square meter store opened on September 1 in the Neustadt district of Hamburg and was designed by the Snøhetta agency, which worked for the first time in an architecture project with Polène. In the organically -looking interior, curved shapes of wooden tables are combined with brick floor and columns made of corten steel.

Polène’s procedure is used for the utilization of compressed leather residues. Abstract motifs in the shades characteristic of the brand beige, Camel and Cognac are reminiscent of the layers of a geode. A total of 488 kilograms of leather residues were reused to produce the cash counter and the piece of furniture for the jewelry.
