Leader of far-right militia guilty of sedition in run-up to storming Capitol

Stewart Rhodes, leader and founder of the U.S. militia Oath Keepers, was found guilty by a jury on Tuesday of “seditious conspiracy” for last January’s attack on the Capitol. The attackers, supporters of former President Donald Trump, then hoped to block the confirmation of Joe Biden’s election victory. Rhodes could face up to 20 years in prison.
