Lazio-Torino 1-1: Pellegri enters and scores, then Immobile draws in the 92nd minute

The grenades dominate and take the lead with a goal from the newcomer, the usual Ciro avoids defeat in full recovery

A handsome Bull at night is forced to swallow yet another joke in the final of this championship, this time signed by Ciro Immobile (who has risen to 25 goals in Serie A). Juric’s team plays a very good game and would certainly have deserved more after taking the lead with Pellegri, after hitting a post with Bremer and after Anderson’s save on the line over Izzo. It ended 1-1 as in the first leg and with the same dynamics: an excellent Toro mocked in injury time from Immobile.

THE GLEISON POLE

There is a pole of Gleison Bremer to unbalance the balance needle by a whisker towards the grenade at the end of a first half that slides away on the equilibrium track. In the middle of a warm Roman evening, the statistics also faithfully tell the progress of the match: 49.5% of possession Lazio, 50.5% Toro, a shot in the mirror each, an extra corner (3-4) for Juric’s team (suspended, deputy Paro is on the bench). Then there is that post stamped by the defender of Toro in the 29th minute and born on the development of a corner beaten by Rodriguez: Bremer stands out between two Lazio players and takes the full post, on the counter of Ricci (still with his head) Strakosha takes refuge in the corner. Toro accepts the comparison on the level of dribbling with Sarri’s team: good start and discreet final of the first half for Lazio, but in the heart emerges the Bull pushed by an inspired Pobega (back in midfield) and by the quality direction of the young man Curls. Two more occasions before the break: Vojvoda goes close to scoring with a low shot at the invitation of Aina (34 ‘), Berisha is careful about Immobile’s incursion (39’).

PELLEGRI-IMMOBILE

When the second half begins, Juric leaves Belotti in the locker room throwing the young Pellegri in his place. After four minutes, Toro has a great chance to pass: Rodriguez’s corner, Izzo’s header saved on the line by Felipe Anderson with the goalkeeper beaten. Shortly after, Izzo is injured (it seems a muscle problem in his left thigh), forced to leave the field to Zima. The pressure of Toro continues and is rewarded after eleven minutes: from a new angle of Rodriguez, Pellegri arrives in the sky and beats Strakosha scoring his first in grenade and the first of this championship ever. His last goals in Serie A were scored precisely against Lazio when he played for Genoa, with a brace, on September 17, 2017. After the half hour Milinkovic tests Berisha’s reflexes with a header, then at the last breath Immobile signs the even on an assist from Milinkovic.
