Lawyer Mees T. denies involvement of client in death Carlo Heuvelman

Mees T.’s lawyer believes that her client should be acquitted of manslaughter. Yesterday, the Public Prosecution Service demanded eight years in prison against the Hilversummer for his involvement in the fatal assault of Carlo Heuvelman in Mallorca in July last year.

According to the OM, T. is also guilty of an attempted murder of a friend of Heuvelman. But according to his lawyer, witnesses on which the Public Prosecution Service bases the sentence did not see the 19-year-old Hilversummer fight at all.

‘seven-mile boots’

“The Public Prosecution Service has put on seven miles of boots by laying down a strong demand for eight years, without explaining what the specific role of Mees has been when it comes to violence against Carlo,” she says.

T.’s lawyer does admit that her client fought with friends of Heuvelman, but according to her that happened at the same time as the fatal beating of Heuvelman. Her client must also be acquitted for the attempted murder of a friend of Heuvelman, she says. According to her, T. would have withdrawn after one blow.

Response T.

T. did not want to respond to the sentence yesterday, but today he did. He says he is very shocked. “Not only for the height of the sentence, but also because my worst nightmare seems to become reality. That a scenario is outlined in which I am the perpetrator of Carlo’s death.”
