Laurentius Vanacker wins Bredense Cultuurprijs

Between 1961 and 1976 Laurentius was active as a musician with the Bredense bands The Swallows and The Bunch. After that, he continued to be active in the music industry with English-language songs and songs in dialect.

During a performance for the commemoration of Bruges singer Ron Davis, he released his latest song “In de Zomer an de Twiens” at the MEC Staf Versluys.

Last year he released his second book “The radio story of the week”, which was presented in the library of the seaside town.

“Laurentius planned to phase out, but continues to make music. The Bredense Cultuurraad therefore awarded Laurentius with the Culture Prize 2022,” says chairwoman of the Bredense Cultuurraad Annemie De Leyn.
