Later shock for Cologne in the Rheinderby – Schalke loses

After the turbulent first leg, Cologne wanted to win the second leg in the Rhein derby. But shortly before the end, the “Effzeh” conceded a damper.
A penalty in the final minutes cost 1. FC Köln the home win in the second division Rhinederby against Fortuna Düsseldorf. Winters’ newcomer Joel Schmied went up with his arm with his arm on a cross and got the ball on that arm. Isak Bergmann Johannesson converted to 1-1 compensation in the 90th minute. Noel Futkeu (10th) met for the lead for the cloverleaf, which presented itself much more stable again a week after the damper in Elversberg (0: 2) and earned the victory, especially thanks to a strong first half. Braunschweig was unlucky that Rayan Philippe was just offside in his supposed equalizer shortly before the end (83.). Julian Green (88th) and Jomaine Consbruch (90.+8) then made the decision late.
