After the turbulent first leg, Cologne wanted to win the second leg in the Rhein derby. But shortly before the end, the “Effzeh” conceded a damper.

A penalty in the final minutes cost 1. FC Köln the home win in the second division Rhinederby against Fortuna Düsseldorf. Winters’ newcomer Joel Schmied went up with his arm with his arm on a cross and got the ball on that arm. Isak Bergmann Johannesson converted to 1-1 compensation in the 90th minute. Florian Kainz had previously brought the Cologne leaders (67th).

Despite great superiority, the 1st FC Köln collected the next setback in the promotion race and lost the lead. Four days before Weiberfastnacht, the Bundesliga relegated team in the Rhein derby and carnival duel against Fortuna Düsseldorf did not get beyond a 1: 1 (0: 0) despite leadership and missed the right response to the 0: 3 bankruptcy in Magdeburg.

After the opening goal by Florian Kainz (67th), Isak Johannesson (90th) replied with a converted penalty for Düsseldorf, so FC slips into second place in the table. Hamburger SV took over the lead after a 3-0 on Friday evening against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Düsseldorf, who could have overtaken the rivals with a win and for the first time since the tenth day of the day, jumped back onto a direct promotion place, improved to fifth place after the sixth league game without defeat.

Schalke 04 had to accept the next bankruptcy. Against Darmstadt 98, the miners received an away defeat 0: 2 (0: 2), Schalke-Schreck ISAC Lidberg achieved an early double pack. Already in the first leg (5: 3) the Darmstadt striker had struck a triple pack in a wild game.

Lidberg (3rd/5th) initiated the defeat, the team of coach Kees van Wonderen then hardly found any answers. After the yellow-red card against Max Grüger (76th, repeated foul game), Schalke also acted outnumbered. Due to the bankruptcy, the Schalke step on the spot, but are still in front of relegation square 16. Darmstadt got air after four defeats through the first victory of the year and pulled past Schalke.

The SpVgg Greuther Fürth has secured three Big Points in the relegation battle. The Franks defeated Eintracht Braunschweig 3-0 (1-0) on Sunday and celebrated the third three from the past four games. Braunschweig, on the other hand, slipped to the relegation rank.

Noel Futkeu (10th) met for the lead for the cloverleaf, which presented itself much more stable again a week after the damper in Elversberg (0: 2) and earned the victory, especially thanks to a strong first half. Braunschweig was unlucky that Rayan Philippe was just offside in his supposed equalizer shortly before the end (83.). Julian Green (88th) and Jomaine Consbruch (90.+8) then made the decision late.
