A fire broke out in an empty shop on Steenstraat in Boxmeer on Thursday evening. The area has been cordoned off by the police because there may be asbestos in the building.
There is a risk that the fire will spread to adjacent buildings, the fire service reports to Omroep Brabant. That is why we quickly scaled up to ‘very large fire’.

The building had been empty for some time. The fire brigade is present with several fire trucks and an aerial platform. The fire is out. The Steenstraat is located in the middle of the shopping area in the center of Boxmeer.
