About ten homes have been evacuated, the police do not yet know whether the area is safe. There may be more explosives at the jeweler. While the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) investigates the site, residents wait outside.

Meanwhile, ‘dozens’ of Zaanstreek and Amsterdam police units are looking for the perpetrators. It concerns two men, who fled on a dark scooter. On Twitter, the police are calling on everyone to look out for the perpetrators.

There have been no casualties. The house right above the jeweler was empty, but the adjacent apartments also suffered damage. It is not yet clear where the residents can go. The police have cordoned off the street.
