Central defender Niklas Lang has joined the Swiss second division club FC Vaduz. The 23-year-old, who was trained at TSV 1860 Munich and was most recently active at the third division relegated SV Sandhausen, signed a contract until the end of the season. The UEFA Conference qualification plays for a long time with the club, which is part of both Swiss and the Liechtenstein Association.
There, the Liechtenstein Cup winner will meet the Northern Irish representative Dungannon Swift FC at the end of July. Lang comes to Vaduz with the experience of 83 third division games. “After Lars Traber’s departure, it was clear that we will be active again in this position. With Niklas, we were able to win a very exciting and already experienced central defender for our age. Due to his football qualities and his mentality, he will certainly be a reinforcement for our defensive game,” said sports director Franz Burgmeier the transfer.
