After the flop of RTL Tonight, Lale Gül may move to the competing talk show Pauw & De Wit on NPO 1. “I have received an offer from them,” says the 28-year-old opinion maker.
It is a bit painful: RTL Tonight still has to continue for two months, but there is really no one involved who is really working on that program anymore. Everyone is looking for the next job, because everyone wants to be under contract again soon. Lale Gül is known that Johan Derksen wants her back in Today Inside, but will that happen?
Lale to Pauw?
Johan and Lale are working on a book together, but her VI return does not seem obvious. She is still under contract with RTL, but now that RTL Tonight has stopped, everything has become fluid.
Will she continue with the successor? “I have no idea whether I will continue at Renze, I have not heard anything yet. It is all still uncertain, but I do have an offer from Pauw & De Wit,” she says in a response to RTL Boulevard.
Price tag
It is notable that Lale may not return in VI. Johan Derksen was in it last week A.D is still lyrical about her: “Look, I think Lale Gül is a courageous girl, a figurehead of the Islamic community who dared to step out. She dares to talk about it openly in a talk show. I think that is an asset to our program.”
It may have something to do with her salary. “I wanted to keep her last year, but John de Mol said: it is irresponsible to exceed the amount that RTL is offering her.”
‘The very best!’
Saskia Belleman is also a popular guest. VI pulls her, but she probably also chooses something else. “I think Saskia Belleman is by far the very best talk show guest in the Netherlands. It was not her fault and she will undoubtedly join other talk shows very soon,” says TV critic Rob Goossens.
Presenter Dyantha Brooks thinks that Saskia can go anywhere. “She is of course so strongly connected to her subject. It is very clear what she comes for.”
Little trouble
The flopping of RTL Tonight does not affect Saskia at all, according to Rob. “Yes, she is not bothered by the company she is in or whether things are going well or not. She is asked a question and just tells her story. That is very powerful.”
Albert Verlinde and Astrid Holleeder do suffer from this. “These are also people who are so clearly attached to this program, and therefore also to the failure of this program.”
‘Not to Renze!’
Renze Klamer, who will succeed RTL Tonight, should not take over these two, says Rob. “I think it is good for Renze if he keeps his distance from what RTL Tonight was.”
“I would almost say that it would be good for both RTL and Albert if he was simply given the space to return to Today Inside. Then Renze can start with a fresh slate.”
