Lacoste appoints Philippe Gautier to the role of Executive Vice President Global Finance

Lacoste has appointed Philippe Gautier to the role of Executive Vice President Global Finance. In addition to his new role, Gaultier will also join the board, the French label announced on Monday.

“I am very pleased that Philippe Gautier is joining the financial management team and am convinced that he will be a great asset to our company,” said Lacoste CEO Thierry Guibert. “Lacoste can build on its in-depth knowledge of the fashion and lifestyle sector, its extensive international experience and its strong skills in implementing large projects, particularly in the areas of supply chain and IT.”

Philippe Gautier has had a career spanning almost three decades, focusing primarily on retail and fashion.

After proving his knowledge in various industrial groups, he moved to the luxury group Kering in 2003. From there, in 2009, he took on the central role of CFO for North America at Herzogenaurach-based sportswear retailer Puma. He then worked for renowned brands such as Sergio Rossi before taking on a management position at the SMCP Group in 2015. At SMCP, Gautier’s strategic acumen was on full display as he played a crucial role in preparing the group’s brands, including Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot and Fursac, for international expansion, particularly in developing the markets in China and the United States . In 2022, Gautier moved to the multi-brand platform Waldencast, where he served as Finance and Operations Director.
