Labor of Prime Minister Albanese achieves absolute majority in Australian elections

The Centrumlinkse Australian Labor Party (Alp) of resigning Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has achieved an absolute majority in the Australian parliamentary elections. Now that 71 percent of the votes have been counted, it appears that Labor has brought in 85 seats, the Australian public broadcaster ABC reports. 76 seats are needed for a majority in parliament.
