La Spezia, the Tas welcomes the appeal: the market reopened in July

The Ligurian club will be able to buy players again. However, in the event of other disputes, the block will return automatically

La Spezia will be able to return to operate in the summer transfer market starting in July. The Lausanne Sports Arbitration Tribunal has in fact partially accepted the club’s appeal against the market stoppage, which should have lasted until the summer of 2023 inclusive. The highest body of sports justice worldwide has halved the sentence handed down by Fifa last summer: from four to two sessions, and suspended the sentence.

Outstanding

In practice, the Ligurian club will be able to buy players. However, in the event of further disputes that may arise, the market block will be automatically applied again. The stop was decided for alleged illegal market operations that would have been carried out by the previous management.
