Kunstzomer spreads modern art across Zwevegem

Art Summer Leiestreek will visit various municipalities in the region this summer. Roeselare, Dadizele and Avelgem also exhibit or exhibit works.

“Art Summer is very important for Zwevegem because we aim to make art known to everyone,” says Mayor Marc Doutreluingne. “Art is for everyone and knows no boundaries. The problem is that sport is popular, but art has a more difficult time and we want to change that.”

Banhout Castle is one of the stops on the route. It was built in 1850 and houses a chapel that is exceptionally visible thanks to the event. The Art Summer in Zwevegem runs until September 24.
