Three of the four most important roads that lead to Uithoorn Leiden look good and cared for, says Peter Borghaerts, chairman of the Uithoorn culture platform and De Kwakel. “But there is one – the one on the Amstel – where the view is very deteriorated.”
The culture platform therefore wants to place a 2.5 meter high wooden wall over a distance of 350 meters around the site. As soon as those bare panels are there, they must be brightened up. Local artists are asked for this, but also less talented Uithoorners. The latter makes a social project as far as Borghaerts is concerned in addition to an artistic project.
