According to Minister Ernst Kuipers (Public Health), the increased number of suicides among young people is partly due to the closing of schools, a measure that has been introduced several times to curb the spread of the corona virus. Kuipers calls it “terrible, really terrible” on Friday that more suicides have been registered among people under the age of thirty.
