Constantin Braun is missing from the Nuremberg Ice Tigers for the rest of the season. A serious accident occurred on the ice. Now the professional needs surgery.

Ice hockey player Constantin Braun, defender of the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, was seriously injured in the game against the Kölner Haie. An opponent’s blade accidentally severed Braun’s Achilles tendon. This means the season has ended early for the 37-year-old.

The accident occurred last Friday, as the Nuremberg Ice Tigers announced. Braun is scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday. The injury is particularly bitter for the former national player as he had just made his comeback against Cologne after a break of several weeks due to a foot injury.

The Ice Tigers are struggling with numerous absences due to injuries this season, which makes the situation even more difficult for the team.
