Kudus and Rensch remain question marks at Ajax in the run-up to the cup final

It is still unclear whether Mohammed Kudus and Devyne Rensch will compete against PSV on Sunday. John Heitinga will make a decision on that tomorrow. That is what the coach of Ajax told during the closing press conference.

“They trained partly again today,” Heitinga said. “We have to wait for their reaction and tomorrow we will make the decisions.” The possible return of Kudus and Rensch is offset by the absence of Kenneth Taylor. He is suspended after his red card against Feyenoord in the previous round. Edson Álvarez will return after a suspension (too many yellow cards ed.).

Last weekend’s hard defeat against PSV (3-0) still reverberated in Amsterdam. “We trained hard and there were also tough duels. We also needed that,” said captain Dusan Tadic. “He is an important player for us and brings a lot of character and mentality,” says Tadic about the Mexican Álvarez.

Ajax can give the season a little shine by winning the cup final. It is scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. Opponent is PSV. That match can be heard live on the radio at NH Sport.
