KSC has signed a long-term extension with top scorer Marvin Wanitzek

Long term contract

Karlsruher SC has prematurely extended Marvin Wanitzek’s contract, which was originally valid until 2024. The 29-year-old signed a new working paper until June 30, 2027. The midfielder, who joined KSC from VfB Stuttgart II in 2017 and has played 210 games (41 goals/53 assists) since then, is Baden’s best scorer with 11 goals current second division season.

“Marvin’s development at KSC is as impressive as it is ongoing. He came to us in the 3rd league and has developed into one of the leading players in our team in recent years. He is undoubtedly one of the best players in the 2nd Bundesliga, if not the best in his position. We are proud that a player with his quality has remained loyal to KSC for so long,” said sporting director Oliver Kreuzer.

Wanitzek added: “KSC is my family, my home and my future. I’m grateful and proud to be able to continue wearing the blue and white jersey for such a long time. Nowadays it is not a matter of course to work for a club for so long. I will give everything for this club on the pitch with a lot of heart and passion and I want to celebrate successes and write history together with our fantastic fans.
